The itinerary is located in the heart of the remarkable landscapes of the Climats de Bourgogne classified since 2015 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It starts from Meursault, capital of the great white wines of Burgundy, also famous for its town hall with glazed tiles which became famous after the movie “La Grande vadrouille”.
We will first go through Volnay and Pommard in the direction of Beaune, passing in front of the most famous jewel of Burgundian medieval architecture: the Hôtel Dieu built in the 15th century.
We will then go back to the village of Meursault, to the Clos Saint-Jacques, for our tasting break specially prepared for you by Anne and Denis in the idyllic setting of their former winegrowers’ house, now converted into a guest house and terroir.
Enriched with new knowledge, we will then continue our journey towards the soul of the terroir of these great emblematic white wines by way of Puligny Montrachet.
We will finish with a wink in the retro by returning by the old RN6 which knew how to keep here the old-fashioned charm of the so particular 60s.
